Nice to visit, but if you are a non Italian speaker, you pay full fee and get no service. The guide isn't bothered by non Italians who have to glare at one (English) one pager 🤫 Not very religious for such a religious place 😇

Fantastic visit, very informative. The Certosa is absolutely beautiful and provides a wonderful glimpse on the cloistered life of the Carthusian fathers. Our guide Anna was competent, passionate and very kind. Tours are guided and can only be booked by phone. Make sure you specify the language you need (visits are usually held in Italian, but you can also book English tours). Bring your cameras and don’t forget cash: the (very cheap) entry tickets can only be paid by cash.

A true gem. Situated 10 minutes from Pisa airport this historic monastery is set in beautiful countryside and takes you back to baroque Tuscany. A must for anybody interested in the application of baroque art to Carthusian life. Very informative on the interaction between church and politics over the centuries. A very well conducted and generous tour for a ridiculously low price. The tour is conducted in Italian but literature in English is provided if needed. Highly recommended.

A hidden treasure!!! Davvero. I wanted to go hiking in the mountains around Calci, which are also very beautiful. Then coincidentally and luckily I found the entrance to this magic castle :) The guide was also very nice and well prepared.

Wonderful experience and for this I have to thank the guide, Mrs. Anna who was professional and truly splendid. It's incredible to be catapulted back in time and experience the days of the Carthusian monks, their habits, their way of being and facing life. The charterhouse leaves you speechless... I believe that a visit to Pisa cannot ignore this place even if it is located a little outside, a few kilometers from the city. Naturally highly recommended

It is a magical place, rich in history, works of art and a thousand curiosities wonderfully illustrated by Eleonora, our competent and helpful guide. I highly recommend this visit, a few kilometers from Pisa. It is mandatory to book by phone, otherwise you risk not finding a place. I advise the organization to put some indicative signs after the traffic lights, so as not to go around in circles looking for the villa....
